Stage II of the HPMP will reduce 100% of the HCFCS consumption to 2030, this project will be financed with US $520,000 (US$298,000 for UNEP as leader agency and US$222,000 for UNDP as cooperating agency), plus agency support costs of US $58,720 (US$ 38,740 for UNEP as and US$19,980 for UNDP). The proposed activities in stage II, which include the promotion of good refrigeration practices, and the enforcement of the licensing and quota system, will reduce the amount of HCFC-22 used for refrigeration servicing. The activities planned by B arbados, including efforts to improve servicing practices and enhance refrigerant recovery and reuse, indicate that the implementation of the HPMP will reduce the emission of refrigerants into the atmosphere, therefore resulting in climate benefits.This project will support the implementation of UNDP’s component for the Barbados stage II HPMP. The resources implemented through UNDP are divided in two tranches: first tranche for USD$125,000 is scheduled for 2022-2024 and the second tranche for USD$97,000 is scheduled for 2025-2026.
