Evaluate the existing National Gender Policy and develop a new National Gender Policy and Costed Plan based on the evaluation of the policy. 3. Conduct Capacity Assessment at individual and institutional levels of relevant key state actors and CSO to respond to family violence and develop a costed national capacity development plan based on findings from the capacity assesment. 4. Strengthen and roll out FAMCARE to support national referral system and case management for GBV survivors in a coherent and coordinated fashion. 5. Support the development/ implementation of the standard operating procedures for the management of safe houses for survivors of family violence. 6. Support the establishment of sexual and domestic violence unit within the Police Department. 7. Support the harmonization of the GBV information system, to both fulfil the role of a statistical M&E system as well as a comprehensive case management system that captures important aspects of each case from first report through to case closure. (GBV Surveillance, FAM Care, CIMS, Court System etc.) and build capacity of service providers, including Civil society in the use of the system. 8. Build capacity of the judiciary to gather and manage data to improve access to justice case management, decision making, inform accountability and inform legislative review. 9. Develop programme to work with couples, including adolescents in formal and informal unions, to transform the imbalance of power and build healthy relationships, manage conflicts and understand family violence. 10. Work with workplaces (formal and informal sector) to engage men in critical reflection on rigid gender norms which perpetuate inequitable power relations between women and men and support the modelling of positive behaviours and masculinity through positive deviance approach. A desk review of the Cyber Crime Legislation and Criminal Code was completed under the guidance of the DPP. 2.) The National Gender Based Policy and Plan were completed and will be passed in the National House of Assemble in 2022. 3. Costed National Capacity Development plan was completed. 4.) A GBV online portal was integrated into FAMCare under Ministry of Human Development to collect and analyze GBV data and act as an M & E Tool. 5.) ICT and the CMS was donated to the Judiciary to enhance their collection and managament of data. 6.) Sessions were carried out with couples in early unions (formal and informal) to transform the imbalance of power and build healthy relationship, manage conflicts and understand family violence in the Stann Creek and Corozal Districts by POWA Organization. 7.) 289 Men were trained by SCLAN in their workplaces (formal and informal sector) to engage men in critical reflection on rigid gender norms which perpetuate inequitable power relations between women and men and support the modelling of positive behaviours and masculinity through positive deviance approach. The proposed activities in stage II, which include the promotion of good refrigeration practices, and the enforcement of the licensing and quota system, will reduce the amount of HCFC-22 used for refrigeration servicing. The activities planned by Belize, including efforts to improve servicing practices and enhance refrigerant recovery and reuse, indicate that the implementation of the HPMP will reduce the emission of refrigerants into the atmosphere, therefore resulting in climate benefits.The funds will be received in four trances. As part of Belize’s National Energy Policy (2023-2040), the country aims to provide “Universal access to basic services and improved access to modern services.’ Although 90% of Belize’s population has access to a reliable source of electricity many persons within rural communities across the country do not have access to modern forms of energy. In fact, of the 27 registered villages without access to electricity, 24 are found within the Toledo District alone. The “Rural Electrification using Microgrids in Southern Belize” project proposal was approved by the Board of Directors of India, Brazil and South Africa Facility for Poverty and Hunger Alleviation (IBSA Fund), and aims to address the critical needs of the marginalized communities within the 3 villages of Mabil-Ha, Otoxha, and Na Luum Caj in the Toledo District in Belize, for access to electricity. These communities face significant socioeconomic challenges, including a lack of access to electricity. Through this project, the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour & Local Government of Belize (MRTCDLLG) seeks to improve the quality of life in these communities by providing solar panels, with charge controllers, battery banks and inverters, for electricity generation. This project will also contribute to, and build on, the work of the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics & E-Governance (MPUELE) as it relates to their “Rural Electrification Project” and will utilize female solar engineers who were trained by the Government of India via a South-South exchange programme.
