Evidence that gender mainstreaming and equal opportunities have been ensured for job opportunities and access to knowledge and training - Public – private partnership in the management of hazardous and municipal waste, initiative are needed and the government is moving in this direction. Policies and regulation on HW, MSW and HCW need substantial improvement and enforcement. - There are very limited actions in place to reduce the release of U-POPs and mercury associated to the open burning or incineration of waste. The unit additionally should build the capacity of the unit staff and strengthen their capabilities in enforcing the building codes. 4- Eliminating, reducing or compensating the risks born by the private investor in Energy Efficiency in Buildings and consequently making investments in EE in buildings more attractive. 5- Reduce energy and water consumption in public buildings by utilizing the best practices for resource efficiency in the building sector, enable GHG emission reductions in three ways, namely through the reduction of electricity needed for space cooling; fossil fuel combustibles used for space heating; and water with a high embedded energy used in the building. 1. City Data Construction: Raw data for energy, water and waste has been collected from service providers, and 25 indicators for the city of Amman related to climate change were generated from the raw data, these indicators are according to Global platform for sustainable cities, Amman Urban observatory has been supported to adopt any indicators that are relevant to the reference indicators related to energy, water and material flows that will be attached to the Sustainability Plan. 2. An RPA has been signed with the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) regarding developing of “External Lighting Code”, “Thermal Insulation Guideline for Existing Buildings”, “Green Buildings Code for Hospitals”, “Hydrology Code” and updating the existing thermal Insulation Code. 3. The GHG mitigation analysis within the previous NCs and BUR assessed potential human interventions that can be implemented at the national level to reduce anthropogenic emissions of GHGs in different sectors to support the overall global efforts to limit the magnitude and/or rate of long-term induced global warming.
