Participants showed an increase understanding and satisfaction in the post evaluation. The project started on 1 July 2021 with a six-months inception phase which entails preparatory activities such as coordination, and joint consultations, including work on the municipality profiles and conflict sensitivity assessments that will serve as basis for further needs assessments to inform the implementation of project specific activities. A call for proposal to identify an international organization (NGO/CSO) that will conduct conflict sensitivity analysis in the 14 municipalities under RSSD 2 was prepared and expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2021. The findings of the conflict analysis will inform evidence-based interventions by AICS, UNICEF and UNDP. During the reporting period, UNDP started the development of municipality profiles targeted by the RSSD2 Baladyiati based on desk reviews of available assessments already conducted by development partners, as well as primary data provided by national and/or local authorities. The municipality profiles will follow an outline discussed and agreed between UNDP, AICS, UNICEF and the EU Delegation and will ultimately inform UNDP, AICS and UNICEF on their respective interventions in these municipalities. These profiles will include information related to demographics, economic activity, security actors and major ongoing issues, governance arrangement, public and social services available, etc. Once completed by UNDP, the profiles will be regularly updated by UNDP, AICS and UNICEF. In the reporting period, preparatory meetings with the mayors of the five municipalities targeted by UNDP have taken place to introduce the project and planned activities under the inception phase.
