The package included smart meters to capture the carbon emission reduction, to be translated into carbon credits, later verified and traded, and thus use carbon finance as an incentive. This Project seeks to facilitate investment in Mongolias solar infrastructure by reducing the perceived and real risks of transitioning to renewable energy. By blending public and private sector investments into a Solar Facility, the initiative will help Mongolia meet its ambitious climate goals while addressing the socio-economic challenges posed by coal dependency.
